tieitupKelly Clarkson premiered her new country single Tie It Up at the CMA Music Festival on Saturday.

While it’s not the kind of song you’d expect from Kelly, there’s something about it that sounds promising. The closest thing Kelly has done to Tie It Up would be Yeah from her album My December, although the former is much catchier.

Kelly also posted the single cover for Tie It Up on her WhoSay account which features Kelly in a wedding dress. It seems like maybe Kelly is just having fun with a single like this before her wedding. However, it’s strange that she’s premiering a new single right now when People Like Us is still being promoted.

Tie It Up has no release date yet but hopefully we’ll hear the studio version soon.

Miley Cyrus just premiered her new single We Can’t Stop on Ryan Seacrest’s show. It’s produced by Mike WiLL Made It.

We Can’t Stop doesn’t sound anything like what I was expecting but there’s something about I like on first listen. I can see it being a grower though. It’s definitely a more mature sound for Miley.

The only thing I don’t like so far is the vocoded male voice talking over it.

Ed Drewett – “Undefeated” New Single

Ed Drewett has uploaded his new summer single Undefeated to SoundCloud. Previously, Ed uploaded an acoustic version of Undefeated as a teaser but as great as the acoustic version was, the studio version takes the song to a completely different level.

The acoustic version of Undefeated was more mellow whereas the studio version sounds anthemic and more feel-good. Undefeated sounds a lot more serious than the extremely catchy Drunk Dial, but it’s still full of hooks and has a bit more edge to it.

Hopefully Undefeated will become a hit and gives Ed the success he deserves as a solo artist.

Undefeated will be released to iTunes on July 14th.

Finally, Mutya Keisha Siobhan have decided to end the silence and have announced via Twitter that the first single from their highly anticipated album is called Flatline.

@MKSOfficial Our new single is called ‘Flatline’. Written by Mutya Keisha Siobhan and produced by Dev Hynes. Excited for everyone to hear it this month!

Lay Down In Swimming Pools, their interpolation of Kendrick Lamar’s Swimming Pools (Drank) came from the same studio sessions as Flatline.

Hopefully Flatline is commercial enough to launch Mutya Keisha Siobhan since Dev Hynes hasn’t really produced any “hits”, even though he’s very critically acclaimed. And hopefully Boys will be the second single.
